FINDING YOUR VENUE:
Finding the perfect wedding venue involves a combination of practical considerations and personal preferences that meet your needs. Here are some tips to help you choose the best venue for your big day:
1. Determine Your Budget
Set a clear budget: Know how much you can afford to spend on the venue. This will help narrow down your options and avoid overspending.
Consider hidden costs: Ask about any additional fees, such as taxes, service charges, or corkage fees.
2. Decide on a Wedding Style
Formal or informal: Choose a venue that matches the formality of your wedding.
Theme and ambiance: Decide on the theme and overall vibe you want, and look for venues that align with your vision.
3. Estimate Your Guest Count
Make a guest list: Have a rough estimate of the number of guests you plan to invite.
Check capacity: Ensure the venue can comfortably accommodate your guest list.
4. Consider the Location
Accessibility: Choose a venue that is convenient for the majority of your guests to reach.
Travel and accommodations: Think about whether guests will need to travel far or require overnight accommodations.
5. Visit Multiple Venues
Schedule tours: Visit a variety of venues to get a feel for the space.
Ask questions: Inquire about available dates, vendor policies, and what is included in the rental fee.
6. Check Availability
Preferred dates: Have a few date options in mind and check the availability of the venues.
Season and weather: Consider the time of year and potential weather conditions for outdoor venues.
7. Evaluate Amenities and Services
In-house services: Determine if the venue offers catering, event planning, or other services.
Outside vendors: Check if you can bring in your own vendors if preferred.
8. Consider Logistics
Layout and flow: Ensure the layout works for the type of event you envision, including ceremony, reception, and dancing areas.
Parking and transportation: Check for adequate parking or transportation options for guests.
9. Review the Contract Carefully
Read the fine print: Understand the terms of the contract, including payment schedules, cancellation policies, and what happens in case of emergencies.
Negotiate: Don’t be afraid to negotiate terms or ask for special arrangements.
10. Trust Your Instincts
Comfort level: Choose a venue where you feel comfortable and excited to celebrate your special day.
Personal connection: Select a venue that resonates with you and your partner’s personalities and love story.

Kitalou Gin:
I’ve shot many weddings at this venue and I continue to have nothing bad to say about it! This location is the most beautiful rustic venue option and photographs really well. This venue is also on the outskirts of Lubbock right off highway 62/82. Perfect for anyone wanting to have a big reception and party hard!
Madewell Estates:
Happily ever after starts at Madewell Estates. The newest and largest wedding venue in West Texas is a beautiful location for weddings of the grandest scale of small intimate ceremonies. This venue is incredibly upscale with an editorial feel to it.
Cotton Creek Barn:
Cotton Creek is located in New Home, Tx about 10 minutes from Lubbock. The Barn is located in right in the middle of a cotton field. The area where the barn is now was a farming equipment lot for many, many years. The old wood that completes Cotton Creek Barn was gathered from the original New Home Cotton Gin, abandoned barns and farm houses, and fences from all over the community.
Horseshoe Knot:
Horseshoe knot is a cute little venue on the outskirts of Lubbock surrounded by trees and is a rustic dream! Soon to be adding in new additions, it currently has an indoor space for a medium sized ceremony and reception and an outdoor space for outdoor ceremony options!
The Willows Event Center:
Another one of my absolute favorite venues! Set against a picturesque backdrop of greenery, The Willows Event Center combines modern sophistication with natural beauty. The venue's spacious halls and serene surroundings create a serene ambiance, perfect for a serene and intimate celebration.
